Boston, Mass. (August 10, 2010) –Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced Tuesday that Chicago Machine attack Ned Crotty has been selected as the 2010 Cascade Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. The award was based on the votes submitted by the head coaches and general manager of each of the League’s six teams.

Here’s a sweet video on the production of MLL jerseys by OT Sports, which includes commentary from several lacrosse stars.

The NCAA Rules Committee is proposing rules modifications which are to affect the time to get the ball into the attack area, issuing stall warnings, contact towards the neck, and more.

The committee proposed to change the time to a team has to advance the ball into the attack area to a single 30-seconds. The current rule permits 20 seconds to reach the midfield line and then another 10 seconds to get the ball into the attack area.
